Turn your PC into a DLNA media server and acess from VLC on Firestick

I used to do this via Plex, but now nothing’s required. Simply:

Receive audio via bluetooth from fireTV to android and windows

Compatible Bluetooth Accessories for Amazon Fire TV

Your Bluetooth accessory must have a compatible profile to pair with your Amazon Fire TV.

Compatible Bluetooth Profile Description
Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) Streams audio to compatible Bluetooth headphones.

Only compatible with Amazon Fire TV devices and only one pair of Bluetooth headphones can be connected to your Amazon Fire TV at any time.

A Bluetooth connection lets users stream audio on Bluetooth-enabled devices. For most audio use cases, the Android device is the source, and the rendering device, such as a speaker or a headset, is the sink.

Android Audio Cast on Windows PC

Use DLNA to share Media between PC and Android devices including firestick on same network

  • Works fine for streaming from pc to android and vice versa.
  • works with VLC too: https://www.vlchelp.com/access-media-upnp-dlna/
  • Make sure the bubblepnp app is open at all times on phone

Remote Desktop into Windows PC using Firestick

Install microsoft remote desktop on firestick via side loading of android apps.

Then enable remote desktop on windows pc.

Finally on the firestick, launch the remote desktop app and if the firestick and windows pc are on the same network, it’ll be detected automatically and if they’re not, use the PC name to remote desktop via the android app running on firestick.

Note that the laptop won’t be accessible while it’s being remotely connected by firestick.
