One big issue is “At Maximum Email Capacity” at which point new mails don’t come through anymore.

For this, either delete all old mails in inbox (this will only delete them from the device and not the mail server). Note that inbox doesn’t have select all, so selecting mails will need to be done one by one manually.

Instead, a faster approach is to uninstall and reinstall GOOD from the play store.
