Markdown Extensions for VS Code (and Tips)

Here’re the ones I use:

  • Copy Markdown as HTML
  • Markdown All in One (includes Markdown Table of Contents)
  • Markdown Shortcuts
  • Formatter: vscode-remark
  • Markdown Lint

User Settings:

"[markdown]": {
"editor.wordWrap": "on",
"editor.quickSuggestions": true
},
"markdown.extension.preview.autoShowPreviewToSide": true,
"markdownlint.config": {
"MD013": false,
"MD033" :false
}
TIPS

  • Links can have relative paths to other files within repo. Eg.
    [test](.\Design\test\Architecture.md).
  • Convert to HTML/PDF to share using the above extensions.
  • Use Markdown All in One for creating TOC for your files.
  • Use this for MD Reference: http://commonmark.org/
